State regulations, roles and responsibilities of a state-approved supervisor will be explored in this 6-hour presentation. In addition, the presentation will include creative approaches to use in counselor supervision to increase critical thinking, support engagement of the supervisory relationship, and inspire creativity.

In this five-hour presentation participants will not only meet the ethics requirements for licensing but will also gain an understanding of the function of BHEC and the role of our respective boards.

Summary: The supervisor training curriculum is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirements to become an approved supervisor for the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors (LPC) or for the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT).  Participants will receive 40 CEs, including 12 CEs of ethics.
